All awards are presented at the District and State LDE's during their respective sessions. The awards will be represented to members at the Chapter Banquet.
The agricultural communications career development event aims to excite and inspire students to develop essential skills relevant to the communications industry. Students will be equipped with strong communication skills and will have
developed the ability to work collaboratively to communicate and advocate for agriculture.
The purpose of the Agricultural Sales Career Development Event is to evaluate skills that are essential for an individual to be successful in the agricultural sales field. The process of selling agricultural products is essential for production and marketing of agricultural products.
The purpose of the FFA Creed Speaking Career Development Event is to develop agricultural leadership through providing for member participation in speaking and interpreting the creed. Additionally, the Creed Speaking Career Development Event strives to encourage public speaking abilities, self-confidence, and FFA involvement.
The purpose of the FFA Employment Skills Leadership Development Event is to present an opportunity for participants to develop, practice, and demonstrate skills needed for seeking employment in the industry of agriculture. Each part of the event simulates, as closely as possible, real-world activities that will be used by real-world employers.
The Purpose of the Extemporaneous Speaking Career Development Event is to develop the ability of all FFA members to express themselves on a given subject without having prepared or rehearsed its content in advance. This gives FFA members an opportunity to formulate their remarks for presentation in a very limited amount of time.
The marketing plan event is designed to assist students with developing practical skills in the marketing process through the development and presentation of a marketing plan. Students research and present a marketing plan for an agricultural product, supply or service. It is intended as a competitive activity involving a team of three persons working for an actual local agri-business, either an existing or start-up enterprise, to support FFA's outreach mission.
